I have a huge prayer request to ask for right now. Our translator went to the SDA (adoption center) today to see if all was OK with our updated documents (our documents expired and we had to submit updated ones, they were submitted on July 26th). They told her that they have not checked our updated doccuments yet and they are not checking ANY family's documents until a week before their scheduled appointment. (supposedly they do not have the staff or time to do this ahead of time)The problem with this is that "if" something is not correct in one or some of the documents, they are mailing these documents back to the family. They are not letting facilitators/translators know or letting the families know in advance. This has happened to a few families so far, and the SDA has not let them have their appointment. I am not sure what happens at this point, but I would assume they families would have to travel back home, update the documents correctly, and wait for another appointment.
Please pray that our documents are "correct" and we will have no problems. I am confident they are OK, but you just never know. I am staying up until 2-3am (9-10am Ukraine time) to call the SDA (they have an English line) and ask them to PLEASE check our documents. I'll let you know how it goes!
